Supported refresh of a medical device firm’s China strategy and roadmap, with focus on new growth opportunities

SITUATION

  • A global medical devices company had planned a “China Summit” with a number of key stakeholders including US ELT and Asia senior leadership, as well as key global functions such as R&D, Regulatory Affairs, etc
  • The goal was to give leadership an opportunity to visit China, participate in several field visits, and join the China team for a two-day workshop to identify additional growth opportunities

SOLUTION

  • Supported the preparation of “China Summit” and followed-up on action plans
  • Identified 5 – 6 key initiatives for global and China to collaborate in order to capture additional growth opportunities in China
  • Developed action plans for these 5 – 6 key initiatives and aligned with stakeholders

IMPACT

  • Built out roadmap for six months past “China Summit” with six initiatives clearly identified, defined, ownership assigned, and prioritized
  • All six initiatives resulted in tangible progress toward goals identified during the summit
  • Engaged and action-oriented global leadership team
  • Increased emphasis on and visibility into China market
