SITUATION

  • A large pharmaceutical production network of more than 50 production sites and >20,000 employees was restructured from a divisional set-up to a technology-based clustering (steriles, ChemOps, solids)

SOLUTION

  • Genioo took over the PMO from a top tier strategy firm, prepared for Day One readiness, developed and tracked people transition roadmaps, prepared and syndicated 90-day plans and implemented initial quick wins
  • Developed cost savings plans; allocation of cost savings targets to new entities; ongoing tracking of savings; new cost allocation methodology developed, external supply strategy developed and aligned with footprint strategy and tech transfer plans
  • Planned and tracked process harmonization for Day One 
  • Developed change management plan and implemented initial actions

IMPACT

  • >USD 500m savings generated in several areas: headcount, procurement, waste reduction, utilization of assets
