Summer Academy 2022 Highlights

Great ideas emerge when people come together in an inspirational environment to learn from one another and build the relationships that make cross-functional collaboration sustainable long after the event has ended.

Genioo Academies are built around one of our core values 'We are better together' and are designed to share a vision then roadmap the journey to make it a reality. We bring teams to a memorable location, provide thought-provoking content, facilitate discussions, and share experiences and expertise that brings people closer ogether. It's an approach we use for ourselves and for our clients.

In 2022, as we celebrated ten years of Genioo and a period of significant growth, colleagues from across our global team gathered in the Italian countryside to learn, reflect, and celebrate everything we'd achieved together while looking ahead and planning for what came next. This magical event, brought the entire company together to a beautiful location to share our vision, discuss our ambition, and define the culture & values that will support efforts to find the best talent to grow our team.

The Genioo team is gathered outdoors in the sunshine as Frederic Brunner, Genioo's CEO welcomes the group with a microphone while people listen, smile and greet one another.

Frederic speaks:
“Welcome to Italy! Welcome to our Summer Academy. I know many of you are new, and it's exciting. Many of you are not, and it's even more exciting to have you back.

The Academy is a moment of magic, and magic comes from a formula we have followed for years. And the formula is: a great location, plus amazing content topics where we all work on these things together...

Film cuts to the Genioo team inside the venue working together while enjoying conversation and then switches to everone seated outside in the early evening sunshine for a dinner before returning to the welcome ceremony.

Frederic continues:

This year's Summer Academy was an extra special Academy, celebrating our 10 year anniversary.

01:05–01:19
The team enjoys eating and drinking on a restaurant terrace and then can be seen sat at large round tables in a working session at the venue.

The workshop continues, with people talking in small groups and working together around tables.

We now have offices in Zug, New York, Boston, Berlin, London, and Dallas.

The film moves outdoors. Team members take part in various fitness activities in the grounds including yoga and horse riding.

The atmosphere becomes more playful and social as the team gather beside the swimming pool in fancy dress from the 80s and perform a dance routine together.

The film returns to the working sessions, where Frederic and Rene Limacher, a Genioo co-founder,  facilitate sessions with the team.

The anniversary celebration continues as people receive decorative cow bells while others clap and then a large 10 year anniversary cake is brought out and cut.
